In the Fall of 1998, Dr. Afify joined the Faculty of the University of Michigan Department of Pathology as an Assistant Professor. His clinical interests deal mainly with Cytopathology, Fine Needle Aspiration, and Immunohistochemistry and his research interests include immunohistochemistry, extracellular matrix, and tumor markers.
