Brief Biography
Dr. England received his Ph.D. at the University of Wisconsin
in 1971 in the fields of endocrine and reproductive physiology. Following
post-graduate research in reproductive endocrinology at the University
of Michigan, he joined the Faculty of the University of Michigan in an
Instructor in 1973, became an Assistant Professor in 1974, and an Associate
Professor in 1982. He became the Director of the Legand Assay Laboratory
in 1973, where he pursues his research interests in reproductive endocrinology.
Dr. England is also the Associate Director of the CLASS
Laboratory of the NIH Study of Womens Health Across the Nation.
Some of his research has led to United States patents in the area of Monoclonal
Antibodies Specific for the Unbound B-Subunit of Human Chorionic Gonadotropin.
