Interests: Brief
Biography (if available): Dr. Rubin received his undergraduate degree from the
University of Wisconsin in 1984, and his M.D. degree from Mount Sinai
School of Medicine, New York, New York in 1988. He engaged in a surgical
internship in the Department of Surgery, Mount Sinai Medical Center,
New York, New York during 1988-1989 and a Research Fellowship in a Department
of Cardiothoracic Surgery at the Deutches Herzzentrum Berlin, Berlin,
Germany from 1990-1991. Dr. Rubin then went to the Georgetown University
Medical Center , Washington , DC for a pathology residency, from 1991-1994.
The following year, 1994-1995, he served as an Anatomic Pathology Fellow
at the Johns Hopkins Hospitals, Baltimore, Maryland. From 1995 to 1998, Dr. Rubin was an Assistant Professor
of Pathology in the Department of Surgical Pathology/Cytology at Columbia
University, New York, New York. In 1998 he joined the faculty of the
Department of Pathology at the University of Michigan as an Assistant
Professor. Dr. Rubin's major clinical and research interests involve
the Genitourinary Pathology, especially to identify biomarkers for prostate
carcinoma.
