The Office of Academic and Business
Affairs - Medical School is comprised of three units. They are:
1) Pathology professional and
technical billing support.
2) Research Administration and
Financial reporting.
3) Provide administrative support
for medical school and dental courses and Graduate program.
The Research Administration Office provides financial
support services for Department of Pathology Research Programs. For
Fiscal Year 2005, there were 135 active grants and contracts in the
Department of Pathology totalling $15.9 million in direct costs. Sponsors
include the National Institutes of Health, Department of Defense, American
Heart Association, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society as well as numerous
contracts with external companies. We have over 170 staff in our research
laboratories and this office provides human resource and payroll support,
as well as purchasing (over 13,000 orders annually) and financial management
of 345 projects and grants for this division in the Department of Pathology. |
