The Office of the Chairman is the central administrative
office for the Department of Pathology. In addition to serving as the
liaison for Pathology with the administrative officers of the Hospital
and Health Centers and the Dean of the Medical School, Jay L. Hess, M.D.,
Ph.D., Carl V. Weller Professor and Chair, and Martin A. Lawlor, Director
of Finance and Administration, provide general oversight for all Department of Pathology
Operations.
The staff in this office, in addition to providing
support for Dr. Hess and Mr. Lawlor, are also responsible for all CME-related purchases and can provide information regarding policies
and procedures for the Department, the Hospital and Health Centers and
the Medical School.
