A full range of anatomic pathology diagnostic services
are available in the Division of Anatomic Pathology. State-of-the-art
technology and active research programs assure that the most sophisticated
diagnostic modalities are available. Techniques include frozen section
and fixed tissue light microscopy, immunohistochemical and immunofluorescent
staining and cell morphometry. Information regarding special areas of

Breast Pathology - Celina Kleer, M.D., Peter Lucas, M.D., Ph.D., and Daniel Visscher, M.D. are specialists in this diagnostic area of surgical pathology.
Bone Pathology - David
Lucas, M.D., Professor, is our specialist in this diagnostic
area of surgical pathology.
Cardiac Pathology - David
Gordon, M.D., Professor is the primary specialist for cardiac biopsies.
Dermatopathology - This service provides expertise in
all areas of dermatopathology, including melanoma, cutaneous oncology,
cutaneous T-cell lymphoma, connective tissue disease, and alopecia. Faculty

Neuropathology - Faculty on this service provide expertise
in all areas of this diagnostic specialty including brain, central nervous
