Now in its 2nd year, the 1st Annual "PathBay" Charity Art Auction featured 53 pieces of artwork and raised $2,394! Thanks to all of the contributing artists and art enthusiasts!

This is an eBay style auction that will begin September 21st and end October 1st. If you’re a Pathology employee, you will use your Level 2 credentials to log in to view and bid on items. If you’re not a Pathology employee, you follow the prompts to create a username and password. Accounts created last year are still valid!

Everyone can participate. All users will be assigned a bidding number before the auction begins on September 1st. The high bidder’s number will be listed next to the current high bid to allow you to keep track of items you have bid on. New this year is proxy bidding. You will be able to enter your maximum bid and your bid will be updated as others outbid you, making it more likely that you will win your item without having to sit by your computer manually updating your bids.

Items are starting to come in and will be available for preview soon.  Please check back often, as items will be added as they are donated and photographed so there will be new items every few days. If you have something you would like to donate, we’d LOVE to have your donation. We are accepting original artwork in all media. It can be something you created or a piece of artwork you own and are ready to give a good new home. Donations are being accepted by Kathy Kaminski in the Pathology Faculty Suite in the hospital and by Liz Walker in M3233 Med Sci. 1 now through Friday, September 14th. If there is another location that is more convenient for you, please let us know and we’d be happy to make arrangements to meet you to pick up your donation.

Remember, all money raised will benefit UMHS patients and their families who are in financial need so donate now and when the auction starts, bid high and bid often. THANKS to all the artists and individuals who have donated so far and to those people who are encouraging artists to donate. We couldn’t do this without you!
