In 2007 the 2nd Annual "PathBay" Art Auction featured 125 items and raised $4342! Thanks to all of the contributing artists and art enthusiasts!

This year's eBay style auction was held October 3rd through October 13th, 2008. If you were a Pathology employee, you used your Level 2 credentials to log in to view and bid on items. If you’re weren't a Pathology employee, you could the prompts to create a username and password. Accounts created last year were still valid! Everyone could participate. All users were assigned a bidding number before the auction begun on October 3rd. The high bidder’s number was listed next to the current high bid to allow you to keep track of items you had bid on. We had proxy bidding again this year. You were able to enter your maximum bid and your bid was updated as others outbid you, making it more likely that you would your item without having to sit by your computer manually updating your bids.

You had the opportunity to view items in person in the UMHS Cafeteria dining rooms on October 3rd and October 13th.

We THANK everyone who donated this year. We accepted original artwork in all media, ranging from something our donors created or a piece of artwork they owned and were ready to give a good new home. Again this year we even had people go to the Ann Arbor art fairs and purchase items specifically to donate which was fabulous!

Donations were accepted by Kathy Kaminski in the Pathology Faculty Suite in the hospital and by Liz Walker in M3233 Med Sci. 1.

All money raised will benefit UMHS patients and their families who are in financial need. THANKS again to all who participated, we couldn’t do this without you!
