Regulation
of apoptosis; control of cell survival by the tumor necrosis factor
and transforming growth factor beta-receptor superfamilies.
Brief
Biography
Dr.
Duckett received his Ph.D. from the University of London, England, during
which time he worked with Dr. Gary Nabel at the University of Michigan
on the regulation of HIV by the transcription factor NF-kB. He did postdoctoral
work at the University of Chicago with Dr. Craig Thompson, where he
studied the regulation of apoptosis, before moving to the National Cancer
Institute in 1997 as a principal investigator. He joined the Pathology
Department at the University of Michigan in 2002, where he has a joint
appointment in the Department of Medicine and is a member of the Cancer
Center. |
