Brief Biography:
Dr. Gestwicki received a B.S. in Chemistry (summa
cum laude) and a B.S. in Recombinant Gene Technology (summa cum laude)
from SUNY College at Fredonia (Fredonia, N.Y.) in 1997. He completed graduate
studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, receiving a Ph.D. in Biochemistry
in 2002. From 2002-2005, Dr. Gestwicki was the Helen Hay Whitney Post-Doctoral
Fellow in the research laboratory of Gerald R. Crabtree at Stanford University.
He has received several awards including an NIH Biotechnology Pre-Doctoral
Fellowship and Helen Hay Whitney Post-Doctoral Fellowship. Dr. Gestwicki
was named a Biological Sciences Scholar at the University of Michigan
in 2005.
Dr. Gestwicki joined the faculty of the Department
of Pathology in August 2005 and is currently an Assistant Professor. He
also holds a position in the Life Sciences Institute as Research Assistant
Professor. |
