Brief Biography
Dr.
Lieberman received a B.S. from Duke University and an M.D., Ph.D. from
the University of Maryland Medical School in Baltimore. He completed
residency training in Anatomic Pathology and a fellowship in Neuropathology
at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Following his clinical
training, he performed post-doctoral research at the Neurogenetics Branch
of the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke at the
National Institutes of Health in Bethesda. Dr. Lieberman's post-doctoral
training with Dr. Kenneth Fischbeck was supported by a Physician Postdoctoral
Fellowship from the Howard Hughes Medical Institute.
Dr.
Lieberman joined the faculty of the Department of Pathology in August
of 2001. In addition to his research in the area of inherited neurodegenerative
diseases, Dr. Lieberman serves as Director of the Neuropathology Core
for the Michigan Alzheimer's Disease Research Center.
Dr.
Lieberman is board certified in Anatomic Pathology and Neuropathology. |
