Matthew Gabbeart received a B.S. in Biology from Northern Michigan University in 2004 and completed the Anatomic Pathology Assistant Program at Wayne State University in 2007.

Matt worked as a Research Technician at Sika Corporation from 2004-2006. He directed a study for Dendreon Corporation under the mentorship of Robert Winn, Ph.D. (Northern Michigan University) from 2002-2004 and is a member of Tri-Beta Biological Honors Society. In addition, he served as a Spring 2003 Arts and Sciences Interviewee on NMU's partnership with Dendreon Corporation.

In August 2007, he joined the staff of the Division of Anatomic Pathology as a Pathologist Assistant.
