Brief Biography

Dr. Rasche received an M.D. from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul in Porto Alegre, Brazil. Upon completion of his training, he served as an Instructor in Anatomic Pathology at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. He later was appointed as an Assistant Professor of Pathology at Fundacao Universitaria de Londrina, Londrina, State of Parana, Brazil and was subsequently appointed as Professor and Chairman at the Department of Pathology, Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul in Porto Alegra. In 1986, he was appointed as Director of Laboratories in the Department of Pathology at Central Michigan Community Hospital in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. Dr. Rasche joined the University of Michigan as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pathology in 1993 and served as Associate Director of the Laboratory Outreach Program. Dr. Rasche retired from active status in August 2009 and is currently an Assistant Professor Emeritus.
