Interests
Dr. Hogaboam’s
major research interests encompass mechanisms that regulate immune and
inflammatory events during allergy and asthma.
Brief
Biography
Dr. Cory
M. Hogaboam earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from the
University of Calgary, Alberta, Canada in 1989. He also holds a Doctorate
in Pharmacology (1993) from the same institution. He then engaged in
Postdoctoral training in Immunology at McMaster University, Hamilton,
Ontario, Canada from 1993 to 1996.
In
1996, Dr. Hogaboam joined the faculty of the Department of Pathology
at the University of Michigan Medical School as a Visiting Scholar.
He became a faculty member of the Department at the rank of Research
Investigator in 1998, to Assistant Professor in 2002 and Associate Professor
in 2004.
During
his current tenure as a faculty member in the Department, Dr. Hogaboam
has received support from the American Lung Association, Novartis Pharmaceuticals,
Anormed, and the NIH. |
