House officers at the University of Michigan Health System (UMHS) are organized and the University of Michigan House Officers Association is authorized by the State of Michigan to negotiate contracts with the UMHS. Information regarding salaries and benefits (including life, dental and disability insurance, vacation and holidy pay, etc.) are detailed in the current contract.
