Spatial Systems Biology Lab

Cells are not independent; they communicate and work synergistically. Our lab aims to understand the spatial organization and cell-cell interactions in the brain. Unlike traditional approaches that rely on bulk assays, spatial technologies preserves the tissue's architecture close to single-cell resolution, allowing for functional interpretation of multi-modal datasets.

Building a functional map of the brain

  • Molecular pathology of traumatic brain injury;
  • Gene regulatory network in spatial biology;
  • Computation of cell-type specific RNA dynamics, including RNA transcription, maturation, and degradation rates;
  • Integration of cross-modality data
