Join us for the 13th annual Advances in Forensic Medicine and Pathology conference organized by Drs. Jeffrey Jentzen and Allecia Wilson in the Department of Pathology at Michigan Medicine. This year's conference will address topics related to cutting-edge technology, techniques, advances, and current controversies in the field of forensic medicine and pathology and is intended to meet the educational needs of Pathologists, Medical Examiners, Coroners, Health Care Professionals, Police Officers, and Prosecutors.

A Poster Session will be held during the reception for attendees to peruse and meet our Pathology Residents and Faculty. The Poster Session will showcase the work of the Autopsy and Forensics Program at Michigan Medicine. The dinner seminar will be given by Jeremy Stuelpnagel, MD, who will present The Maui Fire Disaster: Medical Examiner as First Responder.

We hope you will be able to join us for another exciting year! At the end of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Understand the fundamentals of death scene investigations

  • Evaluate the consequences of drug death certification

  • Detect atypical suicide cases
