Remember Pathology on Giving Blueday!

By Lynn McCain | March 8 2021

Giving Blueday, the University of Michigan’s 24-hour celebration of giving, has moved to the spring this year. On March 10, the university will encourage donors around the world to give to the programs and causes they care most about at U-M. Donors can visit the Giving Blueday website to find causes and make donations, view real-time progress, read about the impact of Giving Blueday, and more.

We encourage you to consider a gift to Pathology on Giving Blueday! The Department is raising funds to fully endow the Bertram Schnitzer, M.D., Lectureship Fund. Once funded, the Bertram Schnitzer, M.D., Lectureship will provide an extraordinary opportunity to discuss key topics with some of the most accomplished hematopathologists in the field. This fund is in honor of the memory of Dr. Schnitzer, a preeminent hematopathologist and educator in our Department.

Alternatively, you may be interested in supporting the Resident Wellness Fund. Gifts to this fund will support the well-being of Pathology residents by implementing wellness events, teaching stress management skills, and conducting experiential learning and team-building through a variety of extracurricular activities.

Whether your gift supports Residents at the beginning of their careers or honors an esteemed colleague who served for decades, you will be making a difference. Join us on Giving Blueday, March 10, 2021!
