Dr. Kamran Mirza Recognized Among Pathology’s Leading Voices

By Anastazia Hartman | November 5

Dr. Kamran Mirza, Director of the Division of Training Programs and Communication and Assistant Chair for Education, has been named to The Pathologist’s Power List 2026. He is among 50 professionals from around the world recognized as this year’s Leading Voices for their contributions to pathology and laboratory medicine.

This marks Mirza’s ninth appearance on the annual list, which honors individuals advancing research, education, innovation, and patient care.

Mirza is also an inaugural inductee into The Pathologist’s Power List Hall of Fame, established to honor individuals who have been named to the Power List five or more times.

“I’m grateful to be recognized alongside colleagues whose work I admire,” Mirza said. “Teaching has given me the chance to help people find their place in pathology and discover what they can contribute. Seeing those students and trainees become colleagues, teachers, and leaders is the most rewarding part of my work. I’m fortunate to be at Michigan, where so many people share that commitment.”

Congratulations to Dr. Mirza!
