Dr. Charles A. Parkos is the recipient of the 2015 ASIP Rous-Whipple Award.  The ASIP Rous-Whipple Award is given to a senior scientist with a distinguished career in research that has advanced the understanding of disease and with continued productivity at the time of the award.  Dr. Parkos presented the Rous-Whipple lecture on Sunday, March 29 at the ASIP meeting in Boston:  "Leukocyte-Epithelial Interactions: A Double-Edged Sword".  He will receive the Rous-Whipple Award on Monday, March 30 during the ASIP Membership Business Meeting and Awards Presentation.
