Hematopathology Fellow, Carlos A. Murga-Zamalloa, MD received the Benjamin Castleman Award from the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology. This award is granted for an outstanding paper in the field of human pathology. The selection, made by the Benjamin Castleman Award Committee, is based on the merit of the submitted paper and not the entire career of the author. Murga-Zamalloa’s work focuses on the pathogenesis of T-cell lymphomas. He also won the 2017 Stowell-Orbison Award for his poster, Role of the Colony-Stimulator Factor-1 Receptor (CSF1R) T-cell Lymphoma Progression.
