Parolia Selected For Harold Weintraub Graduate Student Award

KDr. Paroliaudos to Dr. Abhijit Parolia, a Research Investigator within the Department's Molecular and Cellular Pathology (MCP) graduate program, who was recently selected for the 2022 Harold Weintraub Graduate Student Award. The annual award, established by the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, recognizes outstanding achievement during graduate studies in the biological sciences.

"This is humbling news," describes Parolia. "It fills my heart with joy and immense gratitude for the mentors that surround me."

"As his graduate thesis mentor, I was immensely pleased to hear that Dr. Parolia was chosen as a 2022 Harold Weintraub Graduate Award winner," says Dr. Arul Chinnaiyan, Director of the Michigan Center for Translational Pathology. "This prestigious honor is bestowed on approximately a dozen or so graduate students in the biological sciences across the world. Not only is Abhijit modest and an outstanding scientist, he is also a great collaborator and mentor to others in the lab.”
