The award honors eight faculty and staff members for their exceptional contributions to research mentorship at the University of Michigan. Among this year's honorees is Department of Pathology professor, Analisa DiFeo, PhD, who was recognized for her outstanding dedication to fostering the professional and scholarly development of early-career researchers.

Since the establishment of the MICHR Mentor Award, honorees have been celebrated for exemplifying the highest standards of mentorship in clinical and translational science. Awardees are selected for their ability to support, inspire, and guide mentees beyond the bench and traditional expectations, leading mentees to a career of skill, creativity, and confidence.
