Match Day arrives with a mix of excitement, nerves, and possibility. In a single moment, years of medical school preparation turn into a clear path forward as students across the country learn where they will continue their training.
Pathologists play a vital role behind the scenes of patient care, analyzing tissue, blood, and molecular data to uncover the diagnoses that guide treatment decisions across every specialty. At the University of Michigan’s Department of Pathology, Match Day signals the beginning of a challenging and rewarding experience. Our residents learn in an environment driven by discovery, collaboration, and innovation.
Congratulations to all who matched into pathology this year, and a special welcome to those joining us at Michigan Medicine. We look forward to meeting you in Ann Arbor and supporting the important work you are about to begin.
