Director of Communications and Senior Writer
Lynn leads the Communications Team for the Department of Pathology and reports directly to the Chair of Pathology. She writes, edits and approves news articles, Facebook posts, and other internal and external departmental communications. In addition, she reviews and edits manuscripts, grant applications, special reports, poster presentations and other documents for the department and produces the annual report. Lynn has been with the Department of Pathology since January 2003 and head of the Communications Team since June 2018.
Personally, Lynn’s hobbies include showing and breeding Lakeland Terriers, baking and making jams/jellies and spending time with her husband, children, and three grandsons. She also volunteers as a sign language interpreter and teacher at Saline First Assembly of God church.
Elizabeth Walker is the Department of Pathology’s Communications Specialist. She is responsible for identifying, writing, and editing departmental news for internal and external communications including the website, Inside Pathology magazine, and social media. She works closely with the photography and design staff to develop and execute the department’s brand and provide marketing support for conferences and other departmental events. Elizabeth also curates the department’s patient stories series and works as part of the art committee to choose and curate rotating exhibits within the department’s facilities at the North Campus Research Complex and University Hospital.
A member of the Patient and Families Advisory Council and the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion committee, Elizabeth is passionate about amplifying patient perspectives and advocating for access to health care. She spends her free time traveling and presenting on these topics, facilitating art and writing workshops, and curating educational exhibits of art around the subject of reproductive loss.
Camren Clouthier serves as a Multimedia Designer for the Department of Pathology. He specializes in photography and videography production, as well as in social media strategy.
Camren is a graduate of Eastern Michigan University and joined the Communications Team in 2019. In his free time, Camren enjoys making short films, practicing his photography skills, and watching Detroit sports.
Temporary Marketing & Media Assistant
Happy to be temporarily working as a Marketing & Media Assistant in the Department of Pathology, Lidija is an avid photographer, reader, and writer. Though not a natural user of the Oxford Comma, she hopes to master it in her time at the University.
Graphic Design/Web Development
Having been with the Department of Pathology since 2010, Brent serves as a graphic designer, UI and UX developer, and marketer with the pathology informatics division. He’s also a liaison for the communications team where he collaborates on the Inside Pathology magazine, the department’s social media, and department conferences. Born and raised in Toledo, OH, he does not allow his Ohio roots to interfere with his Michigan responsibilities. Brent also has deep interests in science, art, pop-culture, and religious studies.
