Anastazia Hartman, MBA, MS

Communications Lead

Anastazia is the Communications Lead for the Department of Pathology, where she oversees and drives the department’s overall communications strategy. With a strong background in social media management, photography, videography, podcast hosting, and writing, she leads efforts to shape and elevate the department’s voice through impactful storytelling and strategic messaging.

In her role, Anastazia manages key initiatives, while also guiding public relations, branding, and digital outreach initiatives. Her expertise in social media, marketing, and business brings a balance of creativity and strategic thinking to the department’s communications.

She thrives on collaborating with faculty, staff, and trainees to create compelling content that highlights innovative pathology research, education, and clinical excellence.

Outside of work, Anastazia is a dedicated hockey coach for two nationally ranked girls’ teams. She’s also an avid cook and reader who enjoys spending time outdoors—and never says no to a great cup of coffee.

Brent Temple

Graphic Design/Web Development

Having been with the Department of Pathology since 2010, Brent mainly serves as a graphic designer, UI and UX developer, and applications developer with the Pathology Informatics division.

However, he also serves as a liaison for Communications where he collaborates on the Inside Pathology magazine, print and online marketing of department-hosted conferences, strategic planning, and providing technical support where needed.

Born and raised in Toledo, OH, he does not allow his Ohio roots to interfere with his Michigan responsibilities. Brent also has deep interests in science, art, pop culture, and religious studies.
