Yuanyuan Qiao Receives NETRF Investigator Grant

The Department of Pathology is proud to share that Yuanyuan Qiao, PhD, has been named a recipient of the Investigator Grant from the Neuroendocrine Research Foundation (NETRF). This highly competitive award supports innovative research to accelerate the development of new treatments and cures for neuroendocrine cancers. Only thirteen investigators were selected, and their work will focus on earlier detection and better diagnostic imaging, personalized care guided by biomarkers and tumor signatures, new targeted and combination therapies to improve effectiveness and reduce side effects, overcoming resistance and preventing metastasis and progression, and immune-based therapies to mobilize the immune system. 

Qiao Yuanyuan, PhDNotably, Dr. Qiao is the first faculty member at the University of Michigan to receive this Investigator Grant, marking an important milestone for both her research program and the university’s growing leadership in neuroendocrine cancer research. This recognition underscores the impact and promise of her work and highlights the vital contributions our faculty are making to advancing patient-focused, translational science.
