The article “Immunohistochemical evaluation of markers suggest a role for prospective FH IHC to screen cutaneous leiomyoma patients for HLRCC”, was published this month in the American Journal of Surgical Pathology (AJSP). It outlines work done by Rohit Mehra, MD and his team at Michigan Medicine including 4th-year resident, Cody Carter, MD and 3rd-year resident Stephanie Skala, MD. The Department of Pathology at Michigan Medicine is one of a few laboratories in the country where Immunohistochemical assays for FH and SDH-B are routinely performed clinically as indicated to detect syndromic neoplasia. You can read more about the team’s work at the Michigan Center for Translational Pathology's website and in the AJSP article at PubMed.
