A team of researchers led by Gabriel Nuñez, M.D., Paul de Kruif Professor of Academic Pathology, and Nobuhiko Kamada, Ph.D., a postdoctoral Fellow in the Nuñez Laboratory, reported this week about mechanisms that regulate the interaction of a pathogen with the microbiota and that are critical for growth and eradication of the pathogen in the intestine.  The work has been highlighted by the Medical School at and published in the journal, Science.
