Society for Pediatric Pathology Fall Meeting 2018

Join us for the Society for Pediatric Pathology’s Fall Meeting 2018. This event is hosted by Michigan Medicine’s Department of Pathology and will be held at the Graduate Hotel, Ann Arbor, MI from Thursday, October 25th to Sunday, October 28th, 2018.

Full registration includes all scientific sessions October 26-28 including the perinatal slide session and perinatal symposium. Each day’s breakfast is also included along with one lunch, a gala dinner, a social function, and a tour of the new, state-of-the-art pathology facility at the North Campus Research Complex.  

Registration, committee meetings, and the welcome reception will take place on Thursday with the COG Update, platform presentations, the Lotte Straus lecture, and perinatal slide seminar on Friday.

Saturday’s symposium, directed by Raja Rabah, MD, Professor and Director of Pediatric and Perinatal Pathology at Michigan Medicine, will discuss the role of the pathologist in diagnosis, quality, patient safety, and providing Patient and Family Centered Care (PFCC), as well as the basic principles of LEAN thinking and applying LEAN to everyday challenges in healthcare.

On Sunday, attend the Perinatal Symposium, directed by Michigan Medicine’s Assistant Professor of Cytopathology and Pediatric Pathology, Amer Heider, MD. Sunday’s learning objectives will be understanding the appropriate use of genetic testing, utilizing imaging technologies in malformation cases, and identifying the utility of fragmented fetal examination in congenital malformations.
